Methodology

Greater skills in lower classes are introduced using innovative methods. The math syllabus will be revamped to cope up with the needs of the computer age. The school has become a life member of the AMTI – Association of the Mathematics Teachers of India and gets its Official Journal “Mathematics Teacher” regularly. In fact the school too ran a math journal “Budding Mathematician” for some time which has been aborted due to financial crunch.

Any how the school is still having a small Math Museum of sorts. Being an educationist, the Correspondent has written some articles inTHE HINDU on Math education with his recommendations to the Government, besides writing some books.

Geometry sans logic for school students?

A New Virus is Spreading

I had the opportunity of working as a Marks verification Officer for the SSLC Examination (Tamil) at one of the valuation centers in Coimbatore in 1980. The Chief Examiners used to prepare mark lists and our work was to compare the marks with those found in the scripts and to make corrections, if any.
